Today, the Reynolds-Gregg Campaign released a video highlighting the new Apple Data Center coming to Waukee and the massive investment it is to Iowa’s economy. In a video titled “Apple Chose Iowa,” the campaign highlights how the data center will be powered by clean renewable energy, estimated to create roughly 1700 jobs, and include millions of dollars from Apple in investment to the local community. Apple now joins Facebook, Microsoft, and Google who have all chosen Iowa as a place to invest, grow, and hire.

Apple’s Announcement was Among Several Significant Job Announcements in Recent Weeks:
- Powertrain recently announced that it is relocating its corporate headquarters to Spirit Lake.
- Whirlpool announced that they will be bringing an additional 500 jobs to their facility in Amana.
- Also, GrapeTree Medical Staffing, Inc announced that they are hiring at least 200 additional people at their headquarters in Milford.
With Iowa’s unemployment rate at 3.2% – one of the lowest in the nation– Iowa’s economy is heading in the right direction. However, there is still more to do and Governor Kim Reynolds along with Lt.
