Gov. Reynolds, Lt. Gov. Gregg Announce Inaugural Ceremony and Ball

DES MOINES – Governor Kim Reynolds will be sworn in as the 43rd Governor of Iowa on Friday, January 18, 2019. Following the swearing in, the Governor will host her Inaugural Ball at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Des Moines.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve Iowans for a full term as Governor,” said Governor Kim Reynolds. “Our state is heading in the right direction, but I want to make it clear that we are just getting started. The upcoming inaugural events will be a celebration of our state and the funds raised toward the committee will benefit charities centered around issues and causes that I am passionate about.”

The inaugural committee will be chaired by Sheri Avis-Horner of West Des Moines, Gary and Sue Kirke of West Des Moines, Andy and Debi Butler of Dubuque, and Doug and Janet Boone of Sioux Center. The money raised for this inauguration will go to various charitable organizations of the Governor’s choosing and will be announced soon.

Leading the committee’s efforts will be Hooff Cooksey serving as Executive Director, Madi Holmes serving as Deputy Executive Director, and Angie Hughes serving as Finance Director.
